Where exactly is the Burger & Brew Fest located?

The Fest is held at the Downtown Event Center Plaza and Capitol Ave. from Liberty St. to State St.

 

When do you close down the streets for the Burger & Brew Fest?

The streets will close down around 5AM the morning of the event and will reopen around 10PM that night.

 

Where is the entrance to the Burger & Brew Fest?

The Fest has entrances on Capitol Ave either on the State St side or the Liberty St side.

 

i bought tickets online, where do i redeem them at the fest?

Bring the receipt from your online transaction to Will Call located next to the Info Booth at the Fest to pick up your Tasting Package and get to drinkin'!

 

Can I walk from the Bart Station to the Burger & Brew Fest?

Absolutely! It's just over a 10 minute walk from BART to the Fest:

- Head down Bart Way for ~ .2 mile

- Turn RIGHT onto Civic Center Dr. and walk ~.1 mile

- Turn LEFT onto Capitol Ave and in ~.5 mile you'll be smack dab in the middle of the Fest!

 

Is there parking available for Burger & Brew Fest attendees?

Definitely, there is a ton of Street Parking on:

- Sundale Ave between Fremont Blvd and Liberty St

- State St between Mowry Ave and Beacon St

- Mowry Ave between State St and Hastings St

- Beacon Ave between Fremont Blvd and Liberty St

- Kearney St between Liberty and Paseo Padre Pkwy

- Liberty St between Beacon St and Capitol Ave 

As well as parking in the Downtown Event Center parking lot (handicapped parking is available here).

What happens if it rains the weekend of the Burger & Brew Fest?

Burgers and beer still taste good in the rain, so we will be there rain or shine and you should be too!

 

Is the Burger & Brew Fest family-friendly?

Definitely. Kids of all ages are welcome to attend the Fest as it is an outdoor event, but the food and drink selection has been catered more towards those 21 and up.

 

Can I bring my pet to the Burger & Brew Fest?

As much as we love our furry four-legged friends, no pets are allowed at the Fest.

 

WILL I BE ABLE TO MEET WITH CRAFT BREWERIES AND TALK ABOUT THEIR BEER WITH THEM?

A large portion of the breweries attending will have representative there to talk to you about their brews, so bring those questions on!

 

WILL THERE BE ANY PLINY THE ELDER AT THE BURGER & BREW FEST?

Unfortunately, this white whale of the beer community was not available at the 2022 Fest. Our fingers are crossed for 2023!

if i like one beer a lot, CAN I get a full pour of it at the fest?

This is a tasting events, sorry, no full pour of beer allowed.

do i have to have a ticket to get into the fest if i don't want to drink?

Nope! This is a FREE festival! You only need to buy tickets if you plan on beer tasting. No tickets are required for sangria or food sales.

  

I don't drink beer, will there be other drinks available at the Burger & Brew Fest?

We've got you covered, whether it's alcoholic (we're talking to all you sangria fans!) or not, there will be plenty of options for you at the Fest!

 

When do you start and stop serving alcohol at the Burger & Brew Fest?

We start dishing out drinks at 11AM. We know you want that beer and aren't about to make you wait a minute longer! Pours stop promptly at 5PM, so don't come late and miss all the goodness.

 

I really like to drink, what if I drink too much and can't drive home?

Don't worry! We know you're there to have a good time and want that to be your top priority. But remember: SAFETY FIRST! If you get a little too tipsy and need a ride home, come to the Information Desk and someone will help you call an Lyft/Taxi and take you over to the designated "Drop Off/Pick Up" point.

 

I'm a vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free, will there be food options available for me at the Burger & Brew Fest?

We make sure to have a variety of food options for all dietary needs. If you're hungry, we'll have something delicious for you to try!

 

Should I bring cash to the Burger & Brew Fest?

Most vendors will accept credit cards, but not all of them. We recommend you bring a little cash or your debit card, we will have a list of nearby ATMs available at the Info Booth for your convenience.

 

Will there be restrooms at the Burger & Brew Fest?

Of course, we know what happens when you drink beer! There will be several portable restrooms and handwashing stations throughout the Fest.

 

Will there be security at the Burger & Brew Fest?

Yes. We partner with the Fremont Police Department to ensure that everyone is safe. The only thing you need to worry about is which burger to try!

 

Do you recycle at the Burger & Brew Fest?

We go to special lengths to be environmentally friendly at the Fest. We provide three types of waste disposal bins: organic waste, recyclables, and plain-old-trash. Collection centers will be located throughout the Fest.

 

What if I have questions AT the Burger & Brew Fest?

We're there for you, come see us! If you have any questions or concerns the day of the Fest, we will have an Information booth set up. Stop by and fire away or even just come say hi!

WHO PUTS ON THE BURGER & BREW FEST AND DO THEY HOST OTHER EVENTS?

We, at the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, host the Burger & Brew Fest. We also host Fremont Street Eats and the Fremont Festival of the Arts, both of which are in downtown Fremont! However, during this time of uncertainty, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will cease hosting all events until it becomes safe for us to gather as a community again. I HEARD THAT THIS EVENT HELPS RAISE FUNDS FOR NON-PROFITS. iS THAT TRUE?

It sure it! A portion of all proceeds go to fund local non-profits right here in Fremont. So feel good about grabbing that second beer or... that second burger... because a portion of that money is going to support your community!
